Pre-Operative Instructions
Do not eat any solid food for at least six hours before your operation. We recommend only clear liquids, and encourage you to take any prescriptions on schedule.
Do not take any aspirin or aspirin containing medicines for ten (10) days before the procedure - aspirin facilitates bleeding. If in doubt, check the label on the bottle.
Shower or bathe about 1-2 hours before your appointment, taking care to wash and rinse genitals several times. Do not apply any powders, creams, or ointments afterwards.
Arrive at least 15 minutes early so that you will have adequate time to relax and to complete any preparations in the office.
Bring a clean athletic supporter (jock strap) that fits you well.
Bring a family member or friend that can drive you home.
